Pamela Sugrue is a first-year PhD student at the University of Chicago. She is interested in cross-linguistic perspectives on topics in semantics and pragmatics including lexical categories, gradability, and comparison. She creates elicitation materials for research in the field, and applies them to understudied languages. Pamela completed a BA in linguistics at Boston University in 2019.
