Orest Xherija is a PhD candidate working in Natural Language Understanding. His research interests revolve aroud the intersection of linguistics and deep learning, with particular emphasis on the linguistic properties of vectorial representations of text, the linguistic knowledge compressed in the weight matrices of the various layers of deep learning architectures as well as robustness and domain adaptation of deep learning models across language tasks. Orest holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
