Maja Sunleaf has worked with the Linguistics department since July 2019. As the Department Administrator, she manages the administrative and financial operations for Linguistics and works closely with faculty to oversee the undergraduate and PhD programs. Current and prospective students can contact Maja with any questions about program requirements, internal procedures, or for help navigating university systems and policies.
Maja previously worked in the University of Chicago Humanities Division Dean of Students Office as the Higher Education Fellow. She earned her Masters degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago in 2019. Maja was awarded a Bachelor's of Science degree in Anthropology from the University of Iowa in 2017.
