Jeffrey Geiger is a PhD candidate in linguistics. His main research interest is the interpretation of anaphoric and context-sensitive constructions. His dissertation uses experimental methodologies to explore the interaction between linguistic identity requirements and broader contextual information in the licensing and interpretation of these constructions, and in particular of verb phrase ellipsis and anaphoric deaccenting.
