Research Interests: Language Evolution and Processing

Daniel Lam is a student in the Joint PhD program of Linguistics and Psychology. He is interested in the processing and evolution of human languages and birdsongs, especially with respect to their interaction with working memory. He is part of the Margoliash lab in Psychology and is also advised by Salikoko Mufwene and Ming Xiang. He holds a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies and Biology from Duke University.
