Research Interests: Semantic Fieldwork and Languages of Mexico and Panama

I am a Ph.D candidate in the Linguistics Department at UChicago. I study the semantics of indefinite pronouns and focus particles. I also do fieldwork on languages of Mexico and Panama. My work primarily concerns semantic properties of grammatical units in a variety of modern Mixtec called Cuevas Mixtec. I am also involved in several language maintenance projects with the Mixtec diaspora community in central California. In Panama, I have worked on a language called Guaymí/Ngäbe.
